Part of what made my experience at TCU so great was that it felt like both a small school since I was always running into friends and most of my classes were small for college classes and a large school because it had a huge class selection, new people to meet all the time and top tier sports. How big can it grow before it loses that special combination of big and small?

I am not being a negative Nancy, development is good. But as an urbanist I have to wonder if and when fort worth will ever get any affordable housing. Is everything in the city center going to be $1000 for a studio? I love Fort Worth and need to do more research but I think the prices are steep as is, and I doubt anymore construction is going to ease the pain. haha

With the number of people moving to the state combined with younger generations flocking to cities its only going to get more expensive.

That's the reality of a housing in a city this size with this level of amenities in 2018, I'm afraid. But I feel you.

I'm a cyclist and I ride on the Trinity Trail frequently. This city is developing along it heavily and with similar types of apartment complexes and town homes. The plan seems to be to attract 20 and 30 somethings with decent salaries who desire access to outdoor recreation (the river and the trail) to walk their dogs, jog, or go for a bike ride. I think that's great, though I have to admit part of me selfishly hopes the Trinity Trail doesn't get too busy to the point that it is difficult to use like Town Lake Trail in Austin, which is so packed that your really can't bike on it in peace.

1000 Weatherford

Planned to be a 310 unit, 17 story residential building, most likely to have a flatiron design.

No renders yet.

GFF will be the architects.

I will believe it when I see it. This city has a track record of projects not coming to fruition.
