Baked a loaf of sourdough rye bread today to go with a kettle of country vegetable stew. Its ingredients were a couple fennel bulbs, a few leeks, carrots, celery, red potatoes, water chestnuts, tomatoes, garlic, parsley, a tied bundle of rosemary and thyme, a chopped serrano pepper, vegetable stock, oregano and S&P to taste. Oh so good and mighty tasty. Served with a salad and a glass of merlot.
