I like bison, I get the ground bison when I can find it. It is a better choice too, for the Americas, as they are the indigenous animals of North America & are better suited to the climate & grazing. Cattle were imported by the Europeans, & need more water than is practical in today's West. I think I read they need about 30 gallons of water per day, Bison don't. I think I saw a bison steak at the supermarket recently, I should go back & buy it.

I planned for a nice burger and a salad on the roof of a brewery next town over. Forgot my wallet. Ended up at my local pub's hot dog cart.

1/4 lb. beer steamed frank with chili, homemade mustard, jalapeno, and onions.

We got ours at Randall's - an Alberton's subsidiary - and they are running a special this week on their Open Nature brand of bison steaks. They were out of the ribeye so we got a strip steak (very good) and a top sirloin (just OK). I'll buy them again if they go on sale.
