I had really good beef stew from the local tiny Italian deli. Someone there loves to make soup. It's usually chicken, but this week it was white bean, kale, sausage, and the stew. I bought both.

not sure about dinner tonight as I am spenidng the day with my mom. My husband has requested Ribs so I am making that for dinner tomorrow night. I am also making beef stew to have on Monday night because it takes time to cook and I get home at 5:30 from work and don't want to eat at 7:30 pm. I have done it in crock pot but I don't like it that way so I am doing this in a Dutch oven in the oven and then when I get home Monday night from work all I need to do is reheat the stew and make noodles.

I think we'll have bacon, scrambled eggs and toast tonight. It's one of those rare breakfast for supper meals that hit the spot now and then. They had the thick cut bacon on sale at the supermarket. That means it's just about as thick as normal bacon when I was a kid.

DH picked up a couple of quarts of strawberries for dessert.
