It feels like autumn outside. So that got me thinking...
Tonight 2 roasted chickens flavored with butter,salt,black pepper,stuffed with onion,apple and parsley and beer poured over them. Served with garlic mashed potatoes,Brussels sprouts and green beans with buttered bread crumbs and almonds. To drink beer or Radlermass. For dessert vanilla pudding with plum compote.
Last night I made a casserole - chicken breast, broccoli, 2 cups of milk, chicken broth, cornstarch, 3 cups of shredded cheddar, almost two sticks of margarine, Ritz crackers and poppy seeds. It's very delicious, but very fattening.
tonight we are celebrating our 59th anniversary although it isn't until next week. We are going to our new, upscale restaurant here in town that over looks the lake. We have been there for a reception and brunch but never for dinner. It is kinda exciting because we will be the first of our friends to try it for dinner. A lot have gone for cocktails and appetizers or brunch, but not dinner.
Earlier tonight enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs with a salad. Drank Lagunitas IPA. .
