Thank you, Praline. I'll be fine, I'm sure. My 1st FL hurricane, although I'd been through them many times in Boston. But, in Boston, I always lived at least 3 floors above ground. I'm in a garden apt, the sidewalk is flush with my front door & the last big thunderstorm we had, I stayed up all night/morning sweeping water from my back deck (only 1" above ground) so the water didn't enter through the sliding glass doors, which run across the entire side of the apt. I can't believe it didn't enter, but I swept for hours... got the Popeye biceps to prove it!

Going out early morning for gas, water & food (I've got at least 8 markets within 1-mi, so I should find something) before it begins raining. I'm glad I won't be on the road otherwise for 2-wks, cuz I'm not one of those who can rock the wet-hair look.

Cheers for the good wishes!

We have a recipe for marinated/skewered shrimp (not our own recipe) that is amazing, so we're having shrimp skewers with Elote Loco and green beans.

Tonight I am making sauerbraten klopse and haluski. Now the klopse (meatballs) I used to make all the time, we really like them. Somehow we forgot about them and its been a few years. I'm thrilled I remembered them. The haluski I am making for the first time.
