Night Hawk dinners, chopped steak, tater tots and corn. Everyone too tired to cook.

I made broccoli and cheese soup with potatoes and carrots. I'm trying not to eat all of it before dinnertime!

I'm not a fan of crockpots, but I made a crockpot beef stew with tomato soup. Until the very end, I thought it was a mistake. The soup seemed too sweet and I felt the veggies would get too mushy. Finally, though, the stew was very good, and I liked having dinner fixed by 10 am, and the house smelling yummy all day.

mainbrokerman, you have an absolutely breathtaking view!

Tonight we are having seafood lasagna (loaded with scallops, shrimp and crab in a creamy sauce), garlic-roasted green beans and mushroom, crusty French bread and shortbread cookies drizzled with buttercream frosting for dessert. Husband is supposed to bring the wine (he'd better have a bag or bottle in his hand when he gets out of his car).

That's what I had too, minus the salad.
Right now I'm enjoying a little strawberry ice cream with chocolate syrup and a glass (okay two) of strawberry wine.
