Good Saturday morning all.

Think tonight will be shrimp and scallop scampi over linguine and garlic bread. Have 6 nice scallops cryovac'd and some frozen jumbo shrimp.

Happy weekend! I never did make my porkchops yesterday, we all kind of took a nap and didn't feel like cooking so we ordered a pizza. So porkchops are on the menu tonight. Lacey I'll be there for supper, put a plate out for me, lol.

Tonight is boneless pork spareribs. I guess I'll just put some BBQ sauce on them and slow cook them in the oven. I thought about cooking them in water for a bit first but that seems to take so much of the good flavor out of them but I want them tender too. I guess with the slow bake it does make them tender just like it does beef, right? I love using my cast iron (Dutch-oven) for this kind of cooking. I guess mashed potatoes and corn on the cob---need to use the corn up so it won't get old and starchy! The weather isn't calling for much if any rain but the radar on the weather map sure looks like rains coming our way. I hope so cause my gardens will love it. The temps are great---about 72 right now! I'm blowing some warmth your way Lasey!!!

Cyn-just mix bar-b-cue sauce with some jelly and pour over ribs, cover and slow cook in oven at 250 for a few hours. Then uncover for about 1/2 hr.

Any particular kind of jelly? Right now I only have preserves--strawberry. Guess I can run to the little local market and get some jelly.

Guess we aren't going to do the yard sale outting today. Hubbie is feeling badly from mowing the lawn yesterday with the pollen and all. Don't know why he won't wear a mask or something. It's the second time now--last week and now this week. It's that time of year here now!
