I am ready, for either dinner or a road trip.

I've driven NJ-CA-NJ a coupla times and would love to do it again, it's truly a beautiful country and the food possibilities alone along the way are worth the trip.

once-upon-chicago, have you tried crockpot cooking? When I was working out of the home I would put everything in the crockpot the night before and then just plug it in in the morning. When we got home at 7:00 pm the first thing that hit us when we walked through the door was the aroma. Gotta love that crockpot, and now with crockpot liners you don't even have to wash the pot.

I agree about the crockpot. I think it was in this thread that I posted my recipe for crockpot pulled pork. There's really not much easier than cooking in a crock pot.

Kelsie and Charley, I am right there with you about the ease of crockpot cooking! Charley, I copied your pulled pork crockpot recipe and plan to use it as soon as we get settled!! And Kelsie, OMG, those liners are the greatest invention EVER!!!!!!! I have gotten where I won't use my crockpot if I find that I am out of liners......boy am I spoiled, or what??

As far as dinner tonight......hmmmmmm.....after another full day of househunting, it looks like it's going to be leftovers tonight!! I had planned to put a marinated pork loin in the crock pot this morning before we left, but I forgot.....so it may just show up on the menu tomorrow night!
