Morning all, last night for dinner, hubby vetoed spaghetti so we had sloppy joes and french fries instead. Actually turned out pretty good and was a lot less work than the spaghetti so it worked out well.

Tonight no idea yet, son has possibly his last football game today so we will see what we feel like making when we get home.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I used the self cleaning feature on my new oven this morning......there had been some boil over of a sugary substance.....that had stuck on the bottom.....whew! What a stink! Glad we dont have any birds because that can kill them. We opened doors and windows and it wasnt too bad and it wasnt too cold out today.....from now on I want to remember to put things on a cooking sheet! That was too much and in the cold winter it wouldnt have been possible to open the house up!

Its almost done its 3 hour setting now.

Already had fish and potatoes and dill sauce for lunch so it'll be something easy and light for dinner. I still have some different kinds of salads, some selfmade yogurt sauce. So it'll probably wraps with shredded chicken breast and salad.

Good of you to mention the birds and self cleaning ovens elston. I know we've said it before here but since I am a lover of birds, well, all animals actually but anyhow, do not ever use your self cleaning oven with your bird in the house. It can and probably will kill them!! My oven will just have to stay a bit dirty until my girlfriend takes my Parrot for a couple of days and then I'll clean the oven! It's just not worth taking a chance.

Well I didn't get the bread yesterday, but the ribs turned out great!

Tonight is Spice Soup and I'll bake the bread today so we'll have fresh baked bread to eat with the soup.

Elston-hate when that happens-I try to remember always to put a cookie sheet or foil under something that could be messy.

The smell of those self-cleaning ovens can be over powering, but I much prefer that way than the oven sprays and all the scrubbing and mess that we used tohave to do. My ovens (I have a stove w/a double oven) could use a good cleaning, too, but I think I'll wait till after the holidays and all the pies have been baked. I put a sheet of foil on a rack under whatever I think might boil over, too, but sometimes I misjudge. Bummer.
