Congrats !!

Wish you all the best...................

May I ask what made you decide on Spring Hill?

We are looking at the central western areas and still have 2 years to go but love the input!

If you get a chance drive down to Sunset Beach park near Tarpon Sprngs, take a picnic lunch and have some fun, my kids loved it!

Default Welcome to Spring Hill

Welcome to sunny Fl. hope that you enjoy your new home, if the kids get crazy you can always take them to Pine Island, west of US 19 or Deltona Park
on Deltona Blvd. I'm sure you'll enjoy shopping in one of our Walmarts within 8 miles of each other. Plenty of stores over on 50 (cortez blvd) enjoy a movie at Beacon Theater on 50 or Spring Hill movies behind Pizza Hut on US 19. Bowling alleys on Mariner Blvd. or US 19.

Again welcome, enjoy!

Default Moving Yourself/Rental Truck

A word for the wise when moving yourself.

Rental truck, one way vs. round trip - BEWARE - initially one way looks so much cheaper but most of the places are charging you PER MILE for the use of the truck too! That is in addition to the $39.95 fee per day. The cost per mile is sometimes $1. So that 800 mile move, round trip is $1600 just for the mileage and doesn't include the daily fee. Some won't let you have for more than 2 days tops either for the daily rate and it would be tough to make a long trek back and forth in two days with packing and unpacking. Investigate closely.

Also - as for that silly insurance everyone tells you not to get because your credit card companies or auto insurance will cover you for a rental - GUESS AGAIN. Most credit card companies and insurance companies DO NOT COVER YOU FOR THE USE OF A CARGO TRUCK IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT WITH THE TRUCK. These coverages usually only apply to the use of a rental car. Read your policies closely. We just assumed because we knew we had always been covered for rentals in the past by both insurance and our credit cards. We had a mishap with the crappy truck we got which was parked (and off) in our driveway with the brake on. It later took on a mind of it's own and rolled backwards into our home causing damage. Fortunately problems had been reported with that truck previously and our damages were taken care of and the trucking company sucked up the damage on the truck.
