Wth? So I go to FM and damn near get run over by shopping carts the entire time I am there. No one is watching where they are going. I did see a nice lady looking at cast iron frying pans and figured it must have been Ray's poor long suffering wife, but other than that, everyone seemed to be in such a hurry. I finally gave up trying to buy much of anything and went in the liquor store.

They are having a nice half price sale on luggage though...I got a nice little suitcase for $25. It was actually more than half off; originally it was $60.

Your mistake was not going to the liquor store first.

I was going to but when I looked in there, Ray had a full shopping cart and I knew I would be waiting in line quite a while.

Worse than regular carts are the kiddie cart monsters..or the motorized with no license to drive....People have no manners anymore....I had to go grocery shopping today...someone left cart in middle of a busy aisle...they walked to end leaving the cart and no way to get through...I waited for the people from the other direction to get by, then took her cart blocking, whipped it around to face the other way (with her purse in it mind you)...she gave me a dirty look when we went by...I said "Beautiful day isn't it and cruised on by...

My wife is working late at Safeway. Fred Meyer is always busy, specially the grocery area at Airport Way. So did you load-up on wine instead? That sounds like a excuse to me, Met

I managed to get a little bottle of Pinot Noir, though it's a miracle that anything was left on the shelves after you got through with the place.

Good for you...I really don't know what those idjits are thinking when they leave their carts blocking the aisle.

And outside in that parking lot isn't any better. Trying to buy gas there is an exercise in frustration.
