Never been to london. But i find this hard to believe
It's not hard to believe - it's impossible to believe (as one who has spent a fair amount of time there). Only an extreme racist would answer that way.
Paris

Athens
Naples-Positano (Amalfi Coast)
Vernaza (Cinque Terre)
Venice
Florence (Tuscany)
Istanbul
Monte Carlo (Fench Riviera)
Rome
London
Amsterdam
Mykonos (Greek Isle)

I was very skeptical of Rome before my first visit. People said it was poor, dirty, just a museum-city. The people who say this are absolutely crazy, BTW.
Rome is amazing, beautiful and vibrant, and probably has more to do (from a tourist perspective) than anywhere. It's also hard to eat a bad meal.
Hrrm... I guess to each their own, I prefer Paris over London, and I'm an American...I love both of them. I think if it came down to it, I'd go with Madrid over London also.
The main problems I have with London are 1. Not dense enough, and 2. Food isn't good unless you go high-end.
I can't get over these two issues, even though I recognize that London is one of the world's great cities. The fact that it's tough to get a good meal, and you don't have that same urban scale as in Continental Europe, are major demerits, IMO.
