Funny survey. London, Paris and Rome are never rated best cities to live in. To visit, perhaps, but to have a great quality of life, good culture, dining, low crime, housing, etc. The list is more like: Vienna, Austria, Zurich, Switzerland, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Germany. Stockholm, Sweden, Helsinki, Finland, Brussels, Belgium, Luxemborg, Amsterdam, Geneva, Switzerland, Kyiv, Ukraine and Prague, Czech Republic. Cultural cities, classy, well mannered people in general and crime rate lower than you'll find in the biggest cities.
I found London to resemble a third world city in many places. I certainly did not feel like I was in England. Rome was very dirty but at least I felt like I was actually in Italy.
