Marriage is not always a religious event. People can get married at their City Hall or in Las Vegas.
And therefore consenting adults should be permitted to marry each other, regardless of their being of the same sex or opposite - because government has no business enforcing religious beliefs.

I think the US needs a young president, one who would be good for the rest of the world too, not just the US (what happens in the US affects the rest of the world).. Bush and his croonies are at fault for many problems, not just the US problems...

On this site and many others, I have challenged Obama supporters to produce arguments in support of their candidate and his policies. To no surprise, I have encountered very little in the way of rational argument, but instead a lot of emotional ranting, or clear evidence that the responder has not done very much research, and cannot in fact defend their choice. So, let's hear it Obama supporters - why should I vote for him?
I've come to the conclusion that you CAN'T EVER convince a McCain supporter to be open minded and even consider voting for Obama...
Posts like this are just very obvious traps - trying to get someone to say something positive about Obama, so the Obama haters can do their best to tear those points down... really pretty predictable and entirely childish - and completely impotent - doesn't affect anyone's stand on who they are voting for...

However, I will give you one solid reason why you should definitely consider moving to Canada... They have much better health care, including mental-health care, than we do in the states....
