I hope Mccain uses him in an ad.
Let's see how Obama slashes him, and he will.
I hope McCain uses "Joe" in an ad, too. Then Obama can point out that under his plan, "Joe" (a.k.a Sam the laborer) would save enough on his taxes to pay the back taxes he owes.

The Associated Press: Is 'Joe the Plumber' a plumber? That's debatable

Totally agree, but with either McCain or Obama, we know it won't happen since both seem to have an afinity for criminals.

Better Yourself 101:

) Step 1: Pay your income taxes

) Step 2: A lien on your house by the government is a bad thing. It will affect your ability to get any small business loans.

) Step 3: Educate yourself on a candidate's plan and how it will affect you before you spout off on national TV.

) Step 4: If you are required to be licensed in your area to do the work you do, get your license.

) Step 5: Set realistic goals. If you think you are going to NET $250,000 within the first 4 years of starting a plumbing business, your business plan is flawed.

Because they are a one trick pony. All they know how to do in an argument is discredit. They have spent most of their positions with this method, that they by instinct do so without a thought.

They don't understand that even if they completely destroy Joe, it won't change the question asked and it won't hide Obama's answer. We have known Obama's policies are socialist, that he is an extreme liberal, but the general populace has been sheltered from it. Joe's simple question and much more importantly, Obama's answer blew the doors wide open on that fact.

Obama is a socialist, this country has no place for socialism. It was built on everything that is against the idea of increased government, increased taxes, and more specifically, wealth redistribution. It is at complete odds to everything this country stands for and everything its defenders have died and bled for. The founders were against this form of society, they spoke of the evils and dangers of the people using the government as a means to acquire money.

I honestly do not know if this will give McCain the win, but its small victory is not so much who wins at the end of the election, but rather America was finally able to get a taste, a notable response for this very thing that has been whispered among the people. That our country is being subverted by elitist who wish to subvert the protections and purpose of our entire nation for their own agenda. The cat is out of the bag, the truth is no longer hidden.

let me tell you something.........

The nations financial crisis didn't just happen over night. The Replubican mind set, In my opinion, is responsible for bringing this country down.
Capitalism is fine if it is regulated. Apparently, you can't trust the people behind the money in this country. They got too greed and stole from the people.
Trickle down effect didn't happen.
Now it is time to trickle up.
The people are angry and righly so. If it doesn't get straightened out, I foresee a revolution.

Joe does and has. One time lien for a $1200 bill that was sent to an old address hardly amounts to not paying your taxes. The person that told the reporters said 99% chance he does not even know it's out there.

I agree. However if you look at all the loop holes and tax credits for people who pay no taxes at all things start to get a little fishy....

Do you know anything about Toledo requirements? It's been shown in other threads that the owner of the company has a hvac and plumbing license.

You have no clue about what you speak of. This is not a "new" business and already has established customers. With the publicity the morons are giving him it's very realistic to think he could net over $250k. You are a little to pessimistic...It's a good thing there are "Joe's" in this world or else it would be an entire working class of corporate dummies.

YouTube - Joe The Plumber

"Spread the Wealth" - Obama voiced his true intentions too soon.

The article I read had a statement from the building inspector in Toledo that if you do plumbing work in Toledo, you have to be licensed (not just the owner of the company). Maybe that has been snoped.

I totally agree that small business owners are the fuel of our country's economy, much moreso than large corporations (especially in the new economy). I know A LOT of them through my line of work, and probably only a few net over $250,000. In fact, they purposely try to net as little as possible to forego taxes.

Whichever. The Joe the Plumber card was very poorly played on McCain's part.
