Clinton said he doesn't suspect McCain's motives, because McCain has asked Obama on several occasions (10 to be exact) to get on stage with him, and he (Bill) said that President Bush has asked them to both come back to Washington and meet and he (Bill) thinks they should do that.
They ARE US senators, aren't they? They are being paid to be senators, aren't they? They are not being paid to campaign.
The talk that McCain is "afraid" to debate Obama is just ridiculous. McCain has asked for town hall meetings where they both get up and talk and Obama has refused every time.
McCain in the past was asking Obama to do those "town meetings", and Obama said wait for the debates. He never asked for a formal debate - those come later, and are set up way ahead of time for millions of dollars, btw.
McCain can't do debates, so he wanted that other forum which he can do.
I don't like Bill Clinton saying that because it is misleading to imply that McCain wants to debate Obama. McCain would much rather not!
What McCain had been asking were town-hall meetings, where McCain is more comfortable....
And personally I feel McCain has always been bluffing on that townhall stuff, he knew Obama would feel its a waste of time (which it is since so many debates are already scheduled) and would reject it. Thus claiming Obama doesn't want to debate him. Sound familiar?
Hilary Clinton used the same move in the primaries....

And did McCain tell you this himself? McCain seems comfortable in any setting, as well he should be. He has a lot of experience from all angles of this. It's hard when you are a newbie like Obama and have NO life experiences of note and NO professional experience and you are trying to debate someone of McCain's caliber. McCain isn't afraid of Obama.
Bill Clinton has never been a party loyalist. Bill Clinton is only concerned about and dedicated to one thing - Bill Clinton. Always has been, always will be.

And I'm starting to love Bill Clinton!
I liked him a long time ago, it was just his antics that made him look like a *******!
