Which one do you want us to vote for, Senator Cruz or Rubio?

I am not so sure, afterall he had his ties made in China for his Macy's Trump collection and he hires hundreds of foreign nationals to work on his properties, especially the Mexicans.

Because the core demographic of Mr. Trump's support is very highly concentrated in the great state of Florida.

In the republican primary the only legitimate choices you should even be allowed to make are Carson, Cruz, Trump, and Paul.

The corrupt senator was Rubio

Just out of curiosity, how do Trump supporters feel about his proposed 45% tariff on Chinese imports? Are they going to be OK with paying more for all the things we import from them? And wouldn't any cuts in Chinese imports just be filled by imports from Viet Nam, Indonesia, etc? Other than being a talking point for his supporters, what would it exactly accomplish?

the point is to import less from then. I know this will make special interests who buy your favorite politicians mad but it's what this country needs

I am not against modest protectionist policies. But I believe we need to shape up, and encourage our labor unions to strengthen. Since he started running, he has not made clear what his policies would be towards labor unions, or the Department of Labor.

I understand that is the talking point. So Chinese imports will slow down because the American consumer won't buy that pair of shoes made in China as they are now 45% more expensive. But those shoes still won't be made in the US as there are a host of other countries what will manufacture those inexpensive shoes for sale here.

So other than sticking a finger in the eye of China, and probably goading them to add more tariffs to our goods being sold there, what would be accomplished?

The 10%, or 20% or 30% or whatever percentage of the electorate that benefit by keeping a job due to protectionism is counterbalanced by the 100% of consumers who pay more for the goods they produce. Also, we make a lot more on exports than we lose on imports. I think BobNJ posted that it's a 7:1 ratio. Raising tariffs leads to reciprocal actions by other countries that curtail imports. Going down the rabbit hole of trying to protect low skilled jobs through protectionism is an overall losing proposition for the nation's economy and for its consumers.

He's telling his supporters what they want to hear, whether it makes sense or not. He's playing them like a Stradivarius.

Why don't you support Trump?

Why don't you support Sanders?
