This.

Obama HAS to win PA, Romney does not.

PA is to Obama what NC is to Romney.

That being said - no Republican has won Pennsylvania in a presidential election since 1988. Romney does not need to win PA to win the election. The fact that Obama is at 48% in the poll average and his approval is below 50% in what is a Democratic-leaning state is very bad news for Obama.
The signifcance of these polls is that they show that reliably Democrat states are turning into battleground states. Whereas Romney is likely to handily win the states McCain won in 2008 Obama is being forced to compete even for the states he won the last time around. He's going to need that $billion war chest.

Even with the high turnout, Walker still won by a larger margin than most polls showed.
He didn't. But it's nice that you believe that.

The last six polls had Walker up by an average of 7.5%, which is roughly the actually election result. Exit polls of those same voters showed +9 for Obama v. Romney.

there are a lot of reasons, 1-most polls showed it close and some posters actually believed Walker would lose, 2-these polls were mostly taken in the past few weeks, the general election is 5 months from now. we don't even know who Romney's running mate will be and 3-right now, most polls show the race pretty close to a toss up in Novermber, with it changing daily. So much can happen between now and then. 4-you are telling us about 1 exit poll, not polls taken over several days or weeks. These are the reasons it does make a difference.

Right, kind of like the polls said Walker was going down in flames yesterday.

I never seen a poll that suggested that.

Better put PA as undecided regardless of your hopeful polls. obama is going to lose almost everywhere by the time the election rolls around. Bookmark this.

One poll of under 500 people? I mean PA will probably go Dem but really come on.

When I tuned in at 9PM to CNN & MSNBC they both said the election was "too close to call" based on exit polls. Yet Walker won by a virtual landslide.

These polls are about as good as used toilet paper.
