Watching the debate I could see nothing but hate, vitriol, and animosity coming from both the candidates and the audience. I don't see how any American who is not a Republican could be impressed by this.

Republicans are just downright full of excrement. It's just always negativity coming from them: from the factory made career politician Mitt Romney, to the token comedian Herman Cain, to the fallen angel Rick Perry, to the half-obese-worn-out-past-his-time pol Newt Gingrich, to the inconsequential quaker state homohobe Rick Santorum, to the crazed beauty Michelle Bachmann, to last but not least... the perennial debate space filler Ron Paul... They all proved why America is lucky to have Barack Obama as President.

None of the Republican candidates are ready for prime time especially when matched against Obama. They have no vision for the future, nothing positive to say to the country, no real solutions for the nation's problems. All they offer are scripted sound bites and the same b.s. Republican ideas that screwed up this country in the first place. If I was becoming complacent about voting for Obama next year, this was the stimulant that I needed. The worst thing that could happen to America short of a terrorist attack is putting a Republican back into the White House.

Your hero Obama ran on the slogan 'CHANGE'....is a $14 TRLLION deficit the change he was talking about? he also ran on TRANSPARENCY...where is it?

In your rant, you listed not ONE THING that the republicans said that you could refute. If there is any hate and vitriol and excrement coming from anywhere, it is from the pointless blathering of people like you who simply issue statements with nothing at all to back ANYTHING you say.

When Obama is out of the white house in 2013, you will see the country begin to heal from the 4 abusive years under that misguided, unqualified fool Obama. He has spent us to the brink of bankruptcy...jobs have all but dried up under his watch with over 9% unemployment over the last 2 years. He does nothing but blame everyone but himself and his failed SPEND policies ( I offer you OBAMACARE as an example).

We haven't seen anything like this since the CARTER administration!! And what happened to him? One Termer...that's what happened. The people of this country...at least the ones who can actually think for themselves...realize that the United States CANNOT endure another 4 years of this lack of leadership and incredible spending. We realize that STIMULUS packages and BAILOUTS are NOT the answer as this 'one trick pony' Obama seems to believe.

Come 2013 the United States will begin to recover...just as we did when Carter was ousted and Reagan sent him packing.

OP - Thanks for a cogent summary of the Republican candidates. Short and accurate. One has to wonder where they find these people.

I will be supporting President Obama even if he is way right of my political and economic stance. The Republican alternative, government by the Heritage Foundation, is completely unacceptable. If any of the Republicans do get elected this country will experience a major change and that change will make the 1930's great depression look like a temporary slump. The most important thing Mr. Obama has managed to do is keep the mortgage crash from taking down the rest of our country's and the world's economic system. If President Obama is reelected it may still happen. If some Republican absurdity is elected it WILL happen between Election Day and inauguration. You can count on that.

PS: I remember what happened after President Carter left office. The Alzheimer’s addled fool that was elected put this country on the path of endless military interventions, off shoring of industry, regressive taxes and endless debt. He fed America “feel good” pills while destroying working and middle class prosperity.

Bingo. You think Obama is WAY RIGHT. Thats about all we need to read to determine the worthlessness of your posting

To those who think Obama is WAY RIGHT, I would expect you to think that the foundation of this nation is unacceptable. Would China, or Cuba suit you better?

Fear mongering. Thats all you have to go on.

Actually that was Bush and his passing of TARP. You are so desperate to find some success in Obama, that you are actually taking Bushs actions and crediting him with them. Thats rather pathetic, even for someone who thinks Obamas political leaning bends right

More fear mongering. Thanks for the humor this morning..

I think someone needs to train them to answer a question as opposed to give rehearsed replies to everything which have nothing to do with the question.

Again, Ron Paul was the only person who made any sense, and the young guy next to Paul exposed some awkward facts about the other candidates like Romney and Perry (like how they fully supported the bailouts, which they tried to deny of course).

oh please

""Fascism is a system in which the government leaves nominal ownership of the means of production in the hands of private individuals but exercises control by means of regulatory legislation and reaps most of the profit by means of heavy taxation. In effect, fascism is simply a more subtle form of government ownership than is socialism."" Mussolini

its not hard to undersatnd

the progressives (aka todays liberals which took over the democratic party) have been in bed with the elite since the late 1880's..

these are the same people that created the fed, the same people that passed the income tax amendment in 1913, the same people that suppored the european socialists and the nasi's, and the fascists

progressives sole intent is to 'socialize' the united states, to either "nationalize" the entire country and its corporations (main stream socialist way), or to so over regulate the corporations (the fascist way)

progressives (aka liberals) were the ones who supported hitler, progressives are owned by the european banks

hiltler and stalin were DICTATORS much like hugo chavez....

but the NASI's were the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) and they are very close to the MODERN liberal

the FACT is HISTORY has shown us what happens when you turn a blind eye.

simple things like 'nationalizing' corporations,,,...... nationalization of all trusts(banks),,.......,social security,,,........ eminate domain(agrarian reform)......... , removing the guns from the people,,,........ demand the end of capitalism,,,........ state(country) provided education,,,,........... blame the jews (or the modern version 'the zionists'),............ 'fairness doctrine"( censorship of talk radio),,,,.....,..... redistribution of wealth............universal health care............welfare............pro-union............COMMON GOOD BEFORE INDIVIDUAL GOOD .........

DO THESE SOUND FAMILIAR, .......YES THE ARE THE TALKING POINTS OF THE DNC AND MOVEON.ORG, AND thinkprogress..................
......
.....
....
THEY ARE ALSO A LARGE PART OF HITLERS 25 POINTS

hitler came into power because germany (after ww1) was in economic depression and he was the candidate of 'hope and change',, his plans slowly moved from being helpful to dreadful,,he took true socialism, and spun it with fascism and the next thing you know he is a dictator
