I will be supporting President Obama even if he is way right of my political and economic stance. The Republican alternative, government by the Heritage Foundation, is completely unacceptable. If any of the Republicans do get elected this country will experience a major change and that change will make the 1930's great depression look like a temporary slump. The most important thing Mr. Obama has managed to do is keep the mortgage crash from taking down the rest of our country's and the world's economic system. If President Obama is reelected it may still happen. If some Republican absurdity is elected it WILL happen between Election Day and inauguration. You can count on that.

PS: I remember what happened after President Carter left office. The Alzheimer’s addled fool that was elected put this country on the path of endless military interventions, off shoring of industry, regressive taxes and endless debt. He fed America “feel good” pills while destroying working and middle class prosperity.
Highly rated post. I couldn't have said it better. Thanks.

So what? Romney has been getting a lot of huge campaign donations from big banks.

That is so all out false because under Obama rich people have been paying less taxes than ever. Also everyone else who works for a paycheck has had cuts in their payroll taxes. And try naming one new regulation that businesses don't like.

So? The poster you're referring to probably believes that Obama is a Marxist Muslim. And also probably believes Obama did not really go to Columbia University.

True, some here actually do believe that sort of nonsense, but when people post ignorance or falsehoods someone here should reply and point it out, otherwise some readers may actually get the idea that what was posted represented truth.

Not only did this debate remind me why I hate Republicans, it has reminded me why it is extremely important that I get out and re-elect Obama next year. Watching the debate I could see nothing but hate, vitriol, and animosity coming from both the candidates and the audience. I don't see how any American who is not a Republican could be impressed by this.

Republicans are just downright full of excrement. It's just always negativity coming from them: from the factory made career politician Mitt Romney, to the token comedian Herman Cain, to the fallen angel Rick Perry, to the half-obese-worn-out-past-his-time pol Newt Gingrich, to the inconsequential quaker state homohobe Rick Santorum, to the crazed beauty Michelle Bachmann, to last but not least... the perennial debate space filler Ron Paul... They all proved why America is lucky to have Barack Obama as President.

None of the Republican candidates are ready for prime time especially when matched against Obama. They have no vision for the future, nothing positive to say to the country, no real solutions for the nation's problems. All they offer are scripted sound bites and the same b.s. Republican ideas that screwed up this country in the first place. If I was becoming complacent about voting for Obama next year, this was the stimulant that I needed. The worst thing that could happen to America short of a terrorist attack is putting a Republican back into the White House.
Now here's someone who is among the most enlightened in this country.

Republicans stink, no question. Their plan to obstruct the President these past three years in order to discredit him, HAS FAILED. Having absolutely no record of success to run on, they can do nothing but distort and criticize the other side while on their knees each and every night, praying to God that nobody remembers that they are the party that gave us Bush. They're too short-sighted to realize that what they're criticizing are the results of their successful obstructionist tactics. Absolutely pathetic. These GOP candidates are pretty damn sad, and that Eric Cantor will surely go down as the symbol of utter stupidity and complete worthlessness.

Tremendous edge to President Obama.
