I would want to see the same and where it came from. I say this because the latest reports still have many cities in Ca showing as having the worst air.

My son and I watched Rick Perry's speech in SC several times yesterday to give him a chance and to see if we felt a connection with him...The last time we watched him my son said that he seemed like a "Saturday Night Live" skit character. ("Saturday Night Live" produces skits and satires of political figures. )...My son wasn't trying to be mean but Rick Perry's behavior and speech just seemed "unreal" to him. It was hard for both of us to relate to him. He is part of a different culture...He reminded us of Bush Jr. and Senior a few times. And at other times he seemed like a preacher...We expected to be "wowed" by Rick Perry due to all of the media hype but there was no "wow factor" for us. I'm sure that other people view him differently and this is fine...We feel turned-off by most of the candidates and Obama...SAD! I guess everyone who is going to run is "in" now.

Wow. Has it been brought up that Rick Perry allowed the execution of what probably was an innocent man by not allowing a DNA test before the execution?

If he starts going anywhere near the GOP nomination, you can bet that it'll become an issue.

Perry has much liberal thinking; he is a big Nafta supporter, illegal immigration, etc.

I doubt it will make much of a difference. Perry will point out Willingham's entire criminal history and that the newly created Texas Forensics Justice Commission didn't act on Dr. Craig Bayler's report.

What Perry won't tell you is the reason they didn't act is because the Commission chair wouldn't allow it. He was such an embarrassment that he was not reconfirmed by the Legislature.

Perry will spin it that Cunningham's execution was justified, and even if it was collateral damage, well, he was a bad man.

Perry will also remind voters that execution is a State's right issue.

In August 2001, Governor Rick Perry stopped by Edinburg, Texas, to deliver a speech before a gathering of Mexican and United States officials on issue related to the border. Emphasizing the cultural and economic connections between the two nations, Perry called for new investment in infrastructure and an easing of restrictions on border traffic to further deepen ties. He also took a moment to tout a groundbreaking new law that allowed children of illegal immigrants to receive in-state tuition at Texas universities.

"We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, 'we don't care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there.'" he said. "And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. That's why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders, the doors of higher education must be open to them. The message is simple: educacion es el futuro, y si se puede."

i am not sure what he is saying now, but ^ that doesn't work for me.
Thank you for this, and Perry's for Nafta including the superhighway. If people would understand that all these RHINO candidates are for globalism and the North American Union which always harms us the little people: High taxes and cost of living, much crowding like here in So. CA., much less jobs, much more violence and corruption, losing American culture, and so on.

Sounds strange to me that Perry claims he wants to suceed from union (small gov) yet turns around and talks big gobalist measures (giant gov). Typical establishment candidate!

There has been a lot of discussion on what people are sick and tired of-----and why.

If you look and the recent polls, between 70-75% of the people polled express a total dissatisfaction with congress-----we are not just talking about Obama, we are talking legislators in congress.

Despite the posturing on these threads and in straw polls, the polls show people are furious at the stalemate and inability to move forward. The polls show that they are furious with the inability to compromise and the inflexibility leading to stalemates.

I am not throwing the needle at either party----they both total disconnect at both parties.

Rick Perry??? Is he the inspiration and guiding light that the polls show that we need-----is he a motivator that we need to inspire reasoned and logical solutions to the mess that we are now in.
Does Rick Perry show the qualities that are needed to reassure people that well reasoned and calculated solutions are on the way.

If he does this for you----great. Reviewing this mans history, it shows he has done an amazing amount of flip flopping and wind gazing. He seems to be charging forward on the issue that he has reenergized Texas job situation----if the price of oil was now $35 a barrel would this be possible??

I think we will see the real Gov Perry when he is hard pressed for answers by the media, in debates, and in public forums. We will see the deck of cards go--------
