I didn't read all the responses but they sell the same bags and dispensors in the baby department that they do in the pet department and they have 1/2 the price of the pet ones...but exactly the same!

MikeinTN, if you are considering changing your dog's food it is important for you to do it slowly. Add a little of the new food into the old food. Gradually increase the ratio of new to old until you are feeding the new by itself. Sudden changes in diet lead to gastric problems.

Default Ooooh that smell, can't you smell that smell?

Or, get a small shovel and fling the poop to the neighbors yards and/or walkways. They LOVE that. Make sure to spread it around so no one gets jealous. With 6 shots a day, you'll be the best neighbor EVER!!!

Syndrome X is the precursor to diabetes - means insulin resistant. sorry for the mistake, but Epi is common in some breeeds more than others. I do know that if your dog does have it the best cure is switching to raw. I've watched my daughter's dog go from near death to an active normal dog on it.
As for the bags, why not buy the zip lock at the buck store - you can't get any cheaper than that. Or save up any plastic bag around the house and use those for further savings. I've even used the plastic bag our newspaper come in - silp your hand inside, pick up, turn inside out and no mess and no $.

Hey everyone think outside the traditional Doggie poop bag box!!! We have 4 golden retrivers and when they are home we use a Pooper scopper and line a Large plastic work bucket with a Kitchen trash bag. Policing the yard a few time a week usually does the trick. Now when we travel and walk the dogs arround town we need poop bags. And I buy them in bulk online as store gift bags from a store supply house I get about 2000 small size bags for arround $25 and these are almost the same quality as the one the pet store sell for $15 for 200!!!!! A google search for "bulk small plastic shopping bags" will get you what you need!!!!

i can vouch for these bags too .... got some after we had this discussion last time.... had 4 or 5 in my pocket that survived a ride through the washing machine just fine.....

i used to get 'em from the dollar store, but like shelbygirl, don't want to run the risk of having a finger poke through.....

and these bags are biodegradable....... bonus points in my book .....

If your dog is pooping 6 times a day, maybe you want to look at what you are feeding.
Me too! Free bags and your recycleing.

being single, i don't have a whole lot of the grocery store bags .... those that don't get holes in the bottom while carrying groceries are used for kitty litter scoopin' ... those that do get holes in the bottom are used to take my lunch, etc. to work..... and then sent to bag recycling ....
