Is this snow I see on the ground a joke, or am I dreaming??

It's interesting because some districts are closed all week for "February break", but others only closed for President's Day, or that and the day after and/or before. I wonder if more would've been closed otherwise (i.e. Norwalk did not even delay, but Danbury and New Canaan delayed.....but (for example) Stamford, Trumbull and Bridgeport were closed for the break (however, Six-Six Magnet School in Bridgeport had a delay Trumbull's pre-K/public day care had a delay)).

So strange I thought it was like a 2% chance of snow or something through march. Looks like winter just struck back?

I like warm weather, and I'm here. I don't really think of this as winter weather though, just a brief nuisance. Warmer weather will return next week.

Cool I was surprised this morning!

I couldn't believe it when I saw the snow on the ground this morning. Must have been about 3 inches. I was out last night about 12:30 a.m. (my cat likes to walk around at night when less chance of encountering other people and dogs) and the sky was clear. I was looking at the constellations. So this must have blown in quite a bit later. The plows were out in force, even though it was melting by then. Hope no more surprises this year.

Yeah still amazes me the location difference in such a short distances. Even just 95 and Merrit there was a big difference between Wet..and White... Then just 20 minutes north more and it was 3-4".

Storm moved faster so had more cold air to work with. Coast mixed with sleet keeping accumulations down.

This is a pic from this morning near Cromwell heading up to Hartford..

WINDS WINDS WINDS big factor next. Power outages possible. Rain tonight (not snow) and maybe THUNDER.

You tell em -lol.

Same deal here, we got about 1 inch very early this morning. It must have been more on grassy surfaces (I'm off today, so slept in), early this morning - becasue as of right now (12:00) the roads, driveways, sidewalks,...ect are black, but lawn has patches of wet snow here and there. Rain and 45 F temps today and tonight should make quick work of what's left by tonight. We might get a few more of these dustings before March is over, just a brief nuisance as you say.

Sat and into next week does look nice, sunny, dry, and temps in the 45- 48 F range
