It’s funny you should say that…because despite all the current and long range forecast technology out their today – you can just “feel” when the long warm season is upon us. Under the bright sun yesterday and the highs near 50 F, the leaves on the broadleaf evergreens like my Rhododendrons and bamboo seems to have that full/lush look that means spring is here. Also, I’m starting to also see more insects around and the birds (including the monk parrots) are making a racket in my yard for the first time since early December.

It’s only 10:00 Am and already up and down the East Coast temps are from 50 to 70 F….we should add another 10 F to these figures by this afternoon. Also, the long range still shows a sea of above normal warmth across the Gulf and Atlantic states…while the western USA and West coast gets the cooler and wetter weather

If these type of temps keep coming, the "green wave" will be early this year in the Tri-State area

Wow! So early and already we're 10-15 degrees above normal. Lmao! Those southerly winds are pushing that warm air all the way up fast.

Looks like Bridgeport and Islip will break a record today.

Current temps (this was from 10am)

Its going to be interesting to see who gets what tonight and tomorrow. All small stuff but obviously can make for slick travelling.

Light accumulations possible TONIGHT....AND FRIDAY NIGHT mostly for northern zones. Please post anything you get here.

Future Radar from WRF shows most of CT with snow before changeover to rain tomorrow morning.
Use link for updated loop after 5pm. http://hp6.wright-weather.com/eastnmm.shtml

Sorry, not ignoring you. Just dont have any updates. Storm still there but still too far to determine snow or not, latest show rain again and not as much liquid. We'll get better sense this weekend.

Ok folks....I'm going out on a limb here against all odds...First time this season I have made a call like this... So save this and tell me if I was wrong 5 weeks from now.

I BELIEVE MARCH WILL BE THE HIGHEST RUNNING TOTAL SNOWFALL THIS WINTER, North of NYC.

It wont all be from one big one but more of multiple accumulations.
(But I dont think it will surpass where the local heavy bands setup in October like Danbury(17"), Litchfield(16"), Winsted(18"). Those towns will hold October being the most this winter)

BDR:
October: 4"
November: 0
December: 0
January: 7.4"
February: .20"

BDL:
October: 12.3"
November: 0
December: 0
Jannuary: 6.8"
February: .T"

The weather app on my iPhone says 40's and 50's through Tuesday. Of course I live in Trumbull which is a big difference than Litchfield & Winstead but still...
