What kind of November are we having so far?

Only 1962 was colder than what we just experienced at the coast.

Aside from Boston & NYC, it's a Top 10 coldest 1st half of November for many of us in the Northeast.

Coldest since 1970s/80s.

Only 1 year was colder for Pittsburgh, Islip, & Bridgeport.

Looks like it's one of the coldest 1st halfs of November for more than just the Northeast

16 days done. Only 1 day with an above normal low temp at BDR.

Last time we had this long a stretch of cold lows was 2015.

37 Days in a row the Low was below normal January 26 - March 3, 2015.

Then came the 2 week stretch of Christmas 2017 to a third of January 2018, where it didn't even get above freezing.

Turns out another noted Northeast cold spot, Saranac Lake, NY in the heart of the Adirondacks, also hit -9 this morning so it and Mt. Washington tied for coldest low for the day in the lower 48.

Just so impressive. Do you guys realize you just lived through the coldest 1st 16 days of November since 1960s?

Average temp of 42.3°.

BTW - 1975 was the warmest for the period then the following year it was 2nd coldest then following year it was 2nd warmest.. Should of saved us back then from the extreme changes.
