I was watching on the radar. There were like 3 little blobs of snow on the radar which means you got lucky! lol

Hope you all are staying warm today... Cold night tonight

It actually stuck in places.

I was surprised to hear the heat come on at 4pm, didn't realize it's 25 degrees right now!

I wish these stations would stop harping on the wind chill. The heat index is just as bad in the summer. Just tell me the air temperature and the dew point. That's all that matters!

I saw a brief snow shower in Berlin for the early-to-mid afternoon. Was that a weak cold front of some sort popping through?

So now there's talk about snow Friday night into Saturday......

Speaking of snow, look at this chart OKX just posted. Interestingly, LGA and JFK would've had their first ever "snowless February" on record were it not for flurries recorded yesterday on "Leap Day" (none were recorded at BDR or ISP yesterday, but BDR did have a trace of snow earlier in the month....NYC (Central Park) recorded a trace both on the day BDR did as well as yesterday)......Central Park is ranked "2nd" because they did actually have a "snowless February" in 1998.

Looks like February and "meterological winter" in general, while quite warm, may not have been as historically warm as we think.

Man ..if you could make a living on Central Park record and averages...you'd be a millionaire x 10 ..

But a question ..how much snow does Central Park have to date this winter? Was there ever a winter with no measurable snow?

This was no doubt one of the worst winters in terms of snow and consistent cold I remember.

On side note models (as the norm this winter) differ on this weekends snow. Likely rain.

4.8" so far. It's actually (if no more measurable snow falls) the 4th least snowiest in that long 150 year record. Record is 2.8" the winter of 1972-73, behind it are also 2001-02 (3.5") and 1918-19 (3.8").

Nearest major weather station with at least 70 years of record I can find that had a winter with no measureable snow is Philly they had a T for 1972-73 (they currently have only 0.3" which if no more falls would be 2nd least snowy).

Take a look at the bait the CMC is putting out. Nope! Not falling for it! Although anything can happen in March...

Channel 3 of Hartford mentioned that Bradley International (BDL) in Windsor Locks just had it's second least-snowiest February on record. They had a whopping 4/10 inch. Perhaps the polar opposite of 2013!

Daylight Saving Time starts next Sunday. I love it, but have it go back to early April please. Thank you!

I love that we get daylight until 7pm early, but I work roughly 7-3 and leave my house a little after 6am and it was just starting to get light out again when I leave for work.....now it will be back to "January darkness" in the morning for awhile....
