Cambium,
I am still unsure of timing for me.......I was hoping to wake up to white so I could simply stay home.....Now I am thinking I should drive down to work, show my face and do a few things and then leave before 12ish.........I can't seem to tell when the heavy stuff is kicking in......I don't want to get caught in it driving home.

That's my plan too.

Northeaster #2. And probably our biggest snowstorm of the season (forecast 1 foot / 30 cm)

still clear even with the coming storm. Clear on the radar, storm rolling in; from yesterday

this morning via GOES from the NWS page

Anyone remember March 14th last year? Largest single day snowfall in Hartford since early 1900s!

Most others made it into the Top 10.. Lets see if we can do it again this yr.

Yes! I think we got about 11 in Middletown from that one.

I think you meant largest single day March snowfall, those lists only had March dates.

If Hartford recorded weather in 1888 (they started in 1905) that would've been #1, it started as rain in NYC but both New Haven and Albany had 4 feet!

By the way, if NYC gets over 6 inches tomorrow, they break the snow record for the date, which was set in......1870!

Hearing snow showers then it picks up for the morning commute stopping mid morning. Then snow starts up again in the afternoon again leaving 8 to 10 inches possibly 12 inches in NW CT area
