Looks like all of FFC closed after all. a lot of northern Westchester districts did as well (where there are more back roads for snow to stick and it started earlier) but most southern Westchester ones opened as usual. I wonder if some of them will have early dismissals if it starts sticking to streets (which it clearly isn't right noe)
Days like today must really sting for whoever makes the choices to close school.

Roads are just wet here...however the last time they didn't close when they should have at least delayed, we had three families get in head on car accidents.. the roads were a sheet of ICE, was a month or so ago..

1.4" so far here. Winter wonderland. Nothing on roads or driveways or walkways. Falling Wayy too light..

Check out what's been issued. Blue outline. heavy snow rates. Things could pick up more. But missing CT

I've never noticed that on Weather.com. Looking at the hourly forecast for Tuesday they changed from noon to 5 from snow to snowstorm.

Not sure where the 4-6" is, maybe on the lawn but the streets are barely covered.

I think in March if there hasn't been a lot of snow days schools are a bit more cautious and quicker to close knowing there may be none or at most 1 or 2 more of these days to possibly make up. But I think knowing about Tuesday's forecast gave some superintendents fits today!

Snow has picked up in the last hour. Flakes have become finer and coming down at a steadier rate. About 2 inches little more out there now. Not spruced schools called schools off.

Still though next week if the storm hits just right kiddies will probably be off for 3 to 4 day's.
