Pretty much struggling past 50s for 7 of the last 8 days. Really haven't been above normal with max temp since April 17th. What does 60s and sun feel like? lol I think we had 2 days like that this month.

So those 2 days are skewing the very warm April data. Sucks. Well.. maybe 4 days there and 2 more coming this weekend. So 1 week worth?

Guess what that means...

Again.

Over 1/2". Non stop steady rain most of today . Large VERY HEAVY batch over the ocean. Lets see if it holds coming on shore. Temps in the chilly 50s.

Looks like we now have a brief cooldown (with sunny weather to boot) on Sunday?

I'm OK with the spring rain. We were in a severe drought and it's still really dry in some areas, so if the month of April fills the reservoirs and recharges groundwater, then that's great. Give me rainy weekdays and sunny weekends and I promise I won't complain!

6 inches of rain this month there! Gonna be a Lush Lush Late Spring?

In Central Park at least there was a supposed problem with the rain gauge for part of the year so it's not considered the wettest year there anymore (or sometimes is put in with an asterisk)....but it was a rainy year throughout the Northeast and it would've been in the top 10 regardless as it is in most other regional cities:

I didn't answer this because 1. I don't forecast. lol. 2. I simply don't know anymore. Seems like all it wants to do is be cloudy and rain lately. As 7Wishes pointed out.. the period of heat has been further subdued now. From 80s/90s to multiple days of 70s to now 60s mixed in.

Haven't dived into why but I assume the SouthEast Ridge is not fully strong enough to push north and we are on the northern periphery of it which means more clouds and outside the heat zone.

Even D.C is missing out now.
