Central Park with it's long record missed a record low max by one degree (29 today vs. a record of 28). And the record was from 1885 to boot!

And they missed the record low by just 3 (17 vs. 14 but it was set in 1960, the year of a lot of the record low max that were broken today such as BDL)

Ridiculous outside. Single digits and teens with the sun up. These are temps, not wind chills.

Hey Cambium - someone asked me and I thought of you... what's your data on the 'biggest snowstorm ever' in CT? (with reliable data so probably not hundreds of years ago)

Cool question, thanks for thinking of me. While CT may be small when comparing to other states, it covers a huge area when comparing to snow events!

The biggest 24hr snowfall was in Ansonia February 8 - 9, 2013. 41". Not sure what it was before that, not sure what the biggest snowstorm total is for entire state.

Biggest snowstorm for Bridgeport (since 1949) Feb 13, 2009 with 30"

Biggest snowstorm For Hartford.(since 1905) Jan 12-13, 2011 with 24.0"
