Thought the winds would relax a bit, nope. Looks like tonight they will probably after midnight.

I knew the radar would kinda look like October 18th.

Those are instability snow squalls

Those thunderstorms last night were something! Woke me up and the whole house was shaking from the thunder.
Have been less than impressed with the winds. We lost power for about 15 min around 7, but that was before the winds really started to pick up. Been fine since, and none of those house shaking gusts we had a few weeks ago.

Agree..Not as bad as could of been but still ripping out there.. Saw some tree damage earlier in the area. I'm mostly gusting between 35-50

Snow forecast totals tonight into tomorrow.. Should start after 2am. Not sure when heaviest will be. Probably around 5-8am? Over by late morning then snow showers around again like today.

Spring put on hold all week. Yikes. And next week more cold coming.

Somewhere around 9pm....dozing off, then wholly crap, sounded like someone with an AK-47 hitting the house.....freakin' Hail was incredible. Was on the road at 4:30am going thru the back roads of Ridgefield, my headlights are bad enough (new GMC Sierra), add the snowfall, and it was slow going.....back on I84 at 7am....slippery. Snow tomorrow , guess I'm driving the Wife to work

Winter Advisories for all 4 Northern Counties in CT. 3-6"

253 PM EDT SUN APR 3 2016

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 8 PM EDT
MONDAY...

* LOCATIONS...ALL OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND EXCEPT FOR THE IMMEDIATE
SOUTH COAST...CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS.

* HAZARD TYPES...ACCUMULATING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 6 INCHES. BEST CHANCE
OF THE HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE ACROSS THE HIGH TERRAIN.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL QUICKLY OVERSPREAD WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS AND
NORTHERN CONNECTICUT BETWEEN 3 AND 5 AM. THE SNOW SHOULD THEN
MOVE INTO RHODE ISLAND AND EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS BETWEEN 5 AND 7
AM. THE BULK OF THE ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL OCCUR THROUGH MID TO
LATE AFTERNOON...BUT SOME SNOW MAY LINGER INTO MONDAY EVENING
ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF THE MASSACHUSETTS TURNPIKE.

* IMPACTS...SNOW WILL IMPACT AT LEAST PART OF THE MONDAY MORNING
RUSH HOUR...PARTICULARLY IN THE HARTFORD AND SPRINGFIELD
METROPOLITAN AREAS WHERE IT BEGINS EARLIER. TEMPERATURES EARLY
MONDAY MORNING WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 20S...SO EXPECT
SNOW TO ACCUMULATE ON ROADWAYS MAKING FOR A SLIPPERY COMMUTE.
BY LATER MONDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON...THE STRONG APRIL SUN
ANGLE WILL PROBABLY ALLOW FOR MELTING ON MOST ROADWAYS OUTSIDE
OF LOCALIZED HEAVIER SNOW BANDS AND ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN.
HOWEVER...BY EARLY EVENING TEMPERATURES WILL FALL BACK INTO THE
20S AND THERE COULD BE A RARE APRIL FLASH FREEZE ALONG THE
BOSTON TO PROVIDENCE CORRIDOR. THIS MAY IMPACT THE MONDAY
EVENING RUSH HOUR.

I lost a couple good sized branches on my trees. One was at least 8' long and came from the upper regions of a 70' pine. Thankfully it missed my house by about 10 feet. Phew!

I'm surprised we even have any Pines left to be honest. Its ashame lately they been dropping like flies. And nobody is planting new ones. I don't blame them but I planted 3 new ones. My neighbors 70' Pine came down. Only 20 feet left of it now. She's keeping it up. I might transplant one of my new ones for her on her property.
