This is going to be a nothing event on thursday day. School shouldn't be closed for an inch or less of snow.
When is Boston nws going to release their forecast?

00z GFS and NAM seem to agree in general. They both put down a good 6"+ near the coast and 8"+ farther inland. Cam may have some nice model pics...

RIGHT NOW, 3-5" looks low for inland CT. I think a lot will be held on the 00z ECMWF that will come out at around 1:30AM. Mostly everything else, so far this 00z suite, is trending for 6+ inches for most in CT, given the high snow ratios. I won't be staying up for the ECMWF, but things should be sorted out by tomorrow AM.

Happy New Year to all as well!!!!

Weather.com is now calling for 1-2 inches in new fairfield on Thursday. I guess it fizzled?

They have no idea. Stop worrying abut it. What always happens is the numbers go up and down like crazy. A band sets up over us, the snow comes early, the snow doesn't start as rain, etc etc. and we end up with a ton of snow. Then the weather guys never apologize for blowing it.

NWS Snow total forecast pieced together from 7 Offices. Last nights models came in a bit more juiced.

But we might be maxing it out now. I don't expect widespread 12-15" but I do expect someone to get 18" from this somewhere. & I expect widespread 8-12" from NYC to Portland
