Not sure why you would say we will know amounts and details 4 days out. Hard to guarantee something like that even 2 days before... Things change quick... But understand the players on the map don't come into play until Sunday but the data goes in Sun night. Sunday Night we'll know better.

We might see some early forecasted totals go up on Sunday but I would wait until Monday for them..

NWS Boston:

THIS TRACK WILL BE SUBJECT TO VARIATIONS AS THE POTENTIAL STORM IS STILL 4-5 DAYS AWAY AND THE RESPONSIBLE SHORTWAVE DOESN/T REACH THE MORE DATA RICH AREAS OF SOUTHERN CANADA AND THE NORTHERN PLAINS UNTIL SUN NIGHT/MON.

I suck at reading those maps. The first and third don't look as bad as #2 when it comes to hitting us?

I didn't include a legend for the precip so part my fault.

The blues represent a lot of liquid falling within 6hrs prior to time shown on the image. (1/2" - 1" liquid)(heavy snow)

Anything to the left of the thicker blue line is generally snow but other things need to be looked at as well.

The thinner blue line for left & middle images is the surface freezing line for that time.

To keep things simple, they all show light snow except the Canadian (left) hits the CT Banana belt hard with snow. So you're close, except its the first one that looks bad.

Also keep in mind... this is just one still time frame... Don't hesitate to ask anything else

This would be insane winds. Look at how tightly packed those isobars are! BOMBOGENISIS. Anyone remember that from last year? This COULD be the BIG DADDY. "Could" being the operative word here.

Yup, those are the details I'm dying to mention but we're still too far. Maybe we'll start mentioning them tomorrow per model. GFS bit too far out but still would bring some nice gusts. Look at the Canadian and the tight isobars with snow on the capes. Nantucket Lighthouse wouldn't be visible! LOL

OKX Forecast highs for tomorrow. After some scattered rain showers in the morning it should become sunny. Gonna be a great day! Enjoy. Head to Greenwich if you want 60s. LOL

I think more areas might have a shot at 60. We'll see.
