I actually can't wait till Feb is done just to confirm everything and secure all numbers. Just mind blowing. I'll have graphs and stuff.

Sunday is going to be busy day.

Bridgeport, CT

The warmest February on record was no where near the departure from normal as the coldest
Normal Avg Temp 32.4°
2012 38.7°
2015 19.9° as of 26th

(Yeah, 3 yrs ago we had the warmest February but wasn't impressive against the normal)

And BDR drops to single digits AGAIN!! Unprecedented.

Number of days dropping below 10° at BDR coast not only most for the month but most for any month on record! Feb Normal is 2 days! They hit it 14 times this month. WTF!?

Also most for the year (Jan-Dec) Still have March and December to add to that. Sick.

Ice thickness is the most we've seen out there. I'm hearing ships and ice fisherman say the same. That's what happens with a historic cold month

My friend says it's over 2 feet on a Litchfield County Lake

Very amazing! I still think March not likely (though maybe we squeeze one out at BDR since after our brief flirtation with 50-deg on Wed. it's supposed to get cold again, I think it depends on if the 50 plus rain gets rid of all the snow or not yet), though if we get a cold December it could add to the total.

I don't think Central Park got to the single numbers (their low was 14 so far), but they still have 7 for the month, I've noted in past threads how historic that is, I'll just say here it's the most since 1979 for Feb. They are tied for 3rd place for Feb. all time even with their long record and all at 24.1 for the month so it will finish either 3rd or 4th and for all months period it will either be 8th, 9th or 10th (ironically, it is going to knock out Jan. 2004 at 24.7 from the top 10 months unless it stays at 24.1 and ties for 9th with Feb. 1895 or goes down to 23.8 and ties for 8th with Jan 1875.....Jan 2004 itself was tied for 10th with several 1800s months......in the top 10 Feb. 1934 and Jan. 1977 are the only other 2 months in the top 10 coldest that are past 1920).

A cousin who lives on Long Island (Suffolk County) posted a picture on Facebook of friends playing hockey on Lake Ronkonkoma!

Nice catch Cam. I just went and checked mine it was 30.78 inches/HG = 1042mb.

Just noticed as well that Danbury hit -5 last night. Impressive.
