But all seriousness, I prefer cloudy days over sunny UNLESS its below 20 degrees.

As far as the actual daylight... No. Doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I get depressed when days get longer.

I get excited when I know its going to get dark after 5pm. This might all tie into the "anticipation" feeling of mine. Knowing its getting dark early means winter is coming and more chances of snow/cold in the afternoon/evening hours.

Look at it like this... Sun going down at 8pm vs 5pm. Those 3 short hours aren't that much of a factor for me.
Man, I'm envious. I wish I could do that.

Still, the weather looks to stay great- stable, dry, and with blazing sunshine: Highs should get warmer but still perfect in the middle 70's F. In my book this is as good as weather we could ever ask for. I had to work a long day yesterday, but today I'm off an intend to spend the whole day under that sun:
Even the NYC stations got down to exactly 50......

I don't think anyone here has a weather crystal ball or knows your temperature tolerances. It's forecasted to be near 80 at least once in the next week. Check weather.com.

Ive only removed mine when I had a landlord who insisted I do about a decade ago. I just make sure there's no holes in the unit and tape it around. If I were to remove them I'd probably wait until early October just in case (thats when the landlord would have me do it).

Current watches & Warnings in Northeast. Kinda surprised Upton puts a frost advisory on northern Fairfield. Good call.

UPPER RIDGE BUILDS TOWARD THE NORTHEAST COAST TONIGHT AS A SURFACE
HIGH REMAINS OVER THE REGION. WITH STRONG SUBSIDENCE AND DRY
AIR...AS SEEN FROM 12Z ALY AND OKX SOUNDINGS...WILL BE A CLEAR
NIGHT. THERE WILL BE WEAK WARM ADVECTION HOWEVER WITH THE CLEAR
CONDITIONS...NEAR CALM WIND...AND DEW POINTS IN THE MID 30S WILL BE
A GOOD RADIATIONAL COOLING NIGHT. HAVE LEANED TOWARD THE COLDER MAV
GUIDANCE. THIS RESULTS IN THE POSSIBILITY OF AREAS OF FROST ACROSS
ORANGE...PUTNAM...AND NORTHERN FAIRFIELD COUNTIES. SO WILL POST A
FROST ADVISORY FOR LATE TONIGHT
.

I'm planting our new drawf J Maple in the ground this week, weather has been great!

As for AC ours has been off for awhile now, I almost turned the heat on today since it was 64 in the house. Tonight I am lighting the fireplace for the first time, incredibly excited!

Like STylo says, who really knows for sure...but my guess is no more 90's F in the Tri-State area from now forward. So I think your really safe from the super hot weather. We might see near 80 F by Friday, but it should still be quite comfortable without AC. I take mine out around the last week of September.

Impressive airmass for September. Danbury already at 50° at 8pm. Only 6 off the lows of the day.

The high pressure was fresh and strong (1032mb) this time.
