Our power went out for a minute. It was the kind of storm that you knew was going to knock the power out.

Definetly. Pretty intense. Cold front front vs hot humid airmass and a warm Atlantic.

Thanks for the reports! How much rain did you get?

1.20" of rain fell here.

Umm, wow.

Usually see 1 or 2 rows of 40s which would be below normal nighttime... When I saw 3 rows I did a

GFS6z for northern CT showing 40s Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning. That means it would drop into the 40s by 8pm.

We'll see

Sorry,I don't know how much rain.It was torrential, but only for a few minutes. My concern was that wind and lightning.

I am glad we are going into more fall-like weather.

There was a waterspout over Long Island Sound today. Cam- Was there a cell there today? Just had some sprinkles here along the shoreline today.

This was over the western portion of the Long Island Sound, about 8 miles south of Bridgeport, CT.

Yup, came down from Brewster, dropped .10" over me (light rain for few minutes and 1 rumble of thunder), exited into the Long Island sound and made a turn Northeast and parallelled the coast. 5:25pm radar here
