This cooler weather might bring fall a little earlier I think.

That is what worries me. Fall always comes too early for me in Ct. as it is, I hate to think of it coming even earlier.

I'm all for it if we have a mild winter...

Just finding out about this availablity recently.

Temp departures for actual sites so far from accuweatherPro.

BDL is -3.1 below normal. BDR is -2.0.

(we still have half the month left)

Edit: Current BDR August mean temp is 72.2°. The Last time Bridgeport had a lower August mean temp was 2008 at 71.8° and in 2000 when the mean temp was 70.8°

Daily Max temps only, at BDR and BDL since July 24th. Blue shades below normal, pink shades above normal.

BDL only twice has been above normal in over 3 weeks.

Wilton and Hartford Forecast till Wednesday from NWS.

Low to mid 80s forecasted for Wilton till Wednesday with dewpoints staying in the 60s.. However, go inland towards Hartford it's a different story. 90 possible!

I'm learning living near the coast is a love/hate relationship. The love part is coming up this week. LOL

Looking at the below normal October temp departures at BDR since 1990 and which winter month was below normal(DJF)

Looks like when October was below normal, December ended up above normal 77% of the time.

1992: -3.3 (Feb)
1993: -2.1 (Jan,Feb)
1994: -0.5 (Feb)
1996: -1.4
1997: -1.5
1998: -0.3
1999: -1.7 (Jan)
2000: -1.4 (Dec,Jan)
2002: -1.7 (Dec,Jan,Feb)
2003: -1.6 (Jan)
2006: -0.9 (Feb)
2008: -2.0 (Jan)
2009: -2.2 (Dec,Jan)

The 9 times October ended up warmer than normal, December ended up below normal 6 times.

Interesting graphic from OKX. Note that it says the "above Cat 1 hurricanes" all tracked east of NYC (which means LI and CT)
