Isnt this georgous or what. Struggling past 70s in August.

Should last another couple days. Then be seasonable Sunday-Tuesday. Then the heat should come back after mid week next week.

Danbury hasnt gotten to 80 since the 12th.
Bridgeport since the 11th
Windsor Locks since the 12th

Do I ignore the 70 near New London too? No one else seems to be more than about 62, even Central Park got down to 59.

This was the 3pm temps. 70s across the board. Generally a sunny and Dry day. Some patches of clouds here and there. Light Variable winds but mostly from the NW. Gusting to 10mph at times.

I think the 41 on that map was correct though (it's Mt. Washington!)

I dislike humid heat as the next guy, but I am not trembling with fear about next week. These past 2 weeks have been a bonus. 88 degrees and 65% is normal for mid-aug, is it not?

Low 80s is normal for Mid August believe it or not. But that just means the Highs are usually Mid 80s or Upper 70s. (low 80s is the middle/average) I think because last few years we've all gotten used to being on the higher side of the normal.

As far as next week... Something tells me not to believe the hype. Yes, we will get warmer. much warmer than we have and even above normal. But there's no heat wave, and it wont feel like it did in July. Dewpoints wont stay high but they will be near 70 so it will get sticky and hot.
