I would check your thermometer or replace it. Sounds like its not adjusting correctly. Its worth a shot to see if the new one matches the one you got. There's no way you're always that far off. Could be, who knows.

We're in the 70s in many spots. I'm still at 72. Didnt move much but there was a big jump of heat from 6am to 8am.

9am:

GROTON: 72
BRIDGEPORT: 71
MERIDEN: 70
NEW HAVEN: 71
CHESTER: 70

Forecasted lows for tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to see some 40's in CT. Love this weather. Been able to get soo much outdoor work done.

I think both -- those who use a stove now, or those who use an AC now -- are very strange people.

My Davis weather station is perfectly calibrated. What were then inland temps at 9am? I was 65 and just crossed 70 here at nearly 11. In line with multiple weather underground stations in the ridgefield/n Wilton areas.

I was just pulling some weeds (finally more than 10 minutes straight) but had to stop since the sun started shining on me. Got too warm! Move around and you'll realize how warm it is. I'm very active, I guess thats the issue.

I just checked the temp and bingo... thats why!! Its 72 already(in shade).
We have not had the AC on for a few weeks. Holy cow, this weather is glorious, perfect, no need for it. There is a cool breeze. I did some hiking yesterday and it was a little humid, but still comfortable. This morning I went for a jog without feeling uncomfortable. Maybe you need to plant some trees around your house, I have never known of anyone to be so hot in such perfect weather! You think 72 in the shade is hot?!

HA! Me? You should know me better. lol. I've been planting new trees on my property since 2007. I actually have no room for the ones in pots now. I need shade, big time. In fact I have a southfacing HUGE 60 foot umbrella tree that each year I ask myself if I should take it down to give my veggie garden full sun. Then summer hits and I remember why I will never take it down.

I counted 35 trees over 15 feet tall(15 are over 25 feet) on my lot of less than 1/2 acre. I have 10 trees under 15 feet. I'm trying to make my own climate here, while ALL my neighbors keep taking theirs down!

My next door neighbor has NONE!!!! He said he regrets it cause the sun beams on his home and his a/c runs much more since taking down the trees.

Tree's isnt the issue here. It's tolerance. I dont tolerate temps above 70 well. Especially if I'm moving or in direct sun. Doesnt mean I wont do it, I just dont prefer it or tolerate it.

Not for nothing, but feeling comfortable 24/7 is not good either. We are built to adapt and tolerate, to a point of course. And besides this should not even be a weather to tolerate. 90 degrees, 70% dewpoint yes.

lol. I know. I'm odd. I used to think I did it to myself being in A/C so long and being outside in the winter I built my tolerance up to the cold more than the heat... But then I remember and found out that as a kid in the 70s/80s I'd go to school in shorts in November. I'd play in the snow without a jacket. I remember being so pissed when they wanted me to bundle up. I'd just take the layers off. I'd feel so uncomfortable with a hat and jacket on in the snow and cold. So it seems like I'm built for the mountains, not the coast. LOL
