Some will get .10". Some will get 1". Depends if your caught in a heavy rain band or not. Good luck.

Not sure if you guys have a rain gauge (they are under $5 each), but how accurate is this for your area?

Its pretty accurate for a few I talked to and myself with .48" of rain today.

This is a 24hr rain accumulation estimate by radar.

I'm in that range, but leaning a bit higher 0.70". Manhattan got crushed this morning.

Yeah, some spots were flooded down there. Over an inch of rain in like an hour or two?

Just like in the winter, we just never know where those heavy bandings setup. 50 miles north and CT would have got it. Technical term is "lifting" There was some heavy lifting going on around NYC this morning.

The thunder we were hearing in SWCT was from the cell in Long Island and on the sound. As soon as it hits CT it weakened. (blame the hills) lol.

How did everyone else do? Does the radar image match it pretty good?

I would not be surprised if midtown east/Murray Hill picked up 2" or slightly less. 7:30 to 10am was a complete deluge.
