Papafox Temps at 10,000 feet above New England right now are in the single digits and teens! Does that affect flying at all if there's moisture on the ground?

Unseasonably cold, but unless global warming is moving the freezing point higher--- the warnings were not necessary. 41 was the low at the highest point in Wilton, so I'm a bit surprised by the map.

True Jp03, although the Danbury low for the morning did not break through 33 per multiple sources.

Not at all! The plane would love it and climb very well as a matter of fact in the thicker air.

Upton did a great job with the warnings and left out the coastal areas. Wilton was right on the border of no warnings and frost. North Wilton obviously had the better chance. But all in all there was frost across the state and the advisories were needed especially since growing season has been around. I wonder if the apple farms were affected lightly.

FYI, Wilton(north) did drop into the 30s for 6-7 hours (midnight to 7am) (38 was the low).

That is true. My thermometer said 32 but officially it was 33 at the airport

Default New State Snowfall Record!

**It's Official** ...

CT is on the front page of NRCC website with the announcement of a new state snowfall record.

Ansonia 36" in 24hrs beats old Falls Village record of 30" Home :: Northeast Regional Climate Center

"The major winter storm that impacted areas of the Northeast in February may be a distant memory now that we are well into spring, but that storm is making history. The State Climate Extremes Committee recently approved a new all-time snowfall record for the state of Connecticut. An official Cooperative Observer station in Ansonia, CT received 36 inches of snow in 24-hours from February 8-9, 2013! This breaks the previous record of 30 inches on February 10, 1969 at Falls Village, CT. The committee examined the observation site and methods used before approving the new record"

Struggled through the 50s today meanwhile its 7pm and in the mid 90s in Minnesota. That heat will shift eastward but not to that extent. 70s likely maybe an 80+ here and there.

There's still Ice on the lakes in MN too. Watch the time lapse cameras if interested.
