Uptons First Map: This will be all snow for everyone. its not a big system and there's little precip... unless things change. Inland will get less the further south the storm is.

Thats sad that the map you show just has a NYC and Washington D.C temp and a statement is made based on that.

Aside from the snow Tuesday Evening... The temperatures will get colder than they are now upcoming week!

Latest Discussions:

Upton

STILL TOO EARLY TO DETERMINE EXACT SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WITH
HIGH CONFIDENCE...BUT WITH MODEL SOLUTIONS TRENDING COLDER
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SOME LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS EVEN TO THE
COAST ON TUESDAY. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AREA-WIDE ARE
POSSIBLE LATE TUESDAY/TUESDAY NIGHT IF LOW TRACKS A BIT CLOSER TO
THE COAST OR DEEPENS MORE RAPIDLY.

HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE WELL BELOW NORMAL THROUGH THE WEEK. LOWS
BEGINNING WEDNESDAY NIGHT WILL ALSO DROP TO ALMOST 10 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL IN MOST PLACES WITH SOME AREAS NOT REACHING ABOVE FREEZING
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
.

Boston:
THINK IT/S PRUDENT TO KEEP BOTH SOLUTIONS IN PLAY...WITH THE THEME BEING GREATEST RISK OF
ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS CT/RI AND SOUTH OF MA PIKE.

BEHIND THE DEPARTING COASTAL/OFFSHORE LOW IT REMAINS CHILLY WED AND
THU WITH A REINFORCING SHOT OF COLD AIR FRI/SAT...WHICH MAY BE
COLDER THAN THE AIRMASS CURRENTLY OVER SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND!

I doubt the map will look that way tonight...there are lake effect snows underway across all of the Great Lakes right now.

Not sure on what this projection is based...NWS Taunton is talking about a reinforcing shot of cold air coming next weekend!

There WILL be a sharp reinforcing shot of cold air after the low pases by. Wed, Thur, maybe Fri will be the coldest days we've seen since last March.

but....

After that it will turn pretty warm based on what they (NOAA/NWS) are saying now. The 1st week of December could see highs in the low to mid 50's F across the Tri-State:

FYI... Add another record to the books if this happens.

"Central Park has had 2 snowstorms in the month of November (1898 for example) but Bridgeport has not had one with more than a Trace in both events"
