Wilton.

So do you think its going to sleet/rain between whats down & whats coming?

I'm trying to decide if I should clear whats already here or wait till its over. I'm thinking I better just do it.

Here we go folks... This thing is starting to spin and wake up.. Pressure went from 1004 to 998 in 2 hours time.

To put it in perspective..the last storm that dropped a foot of more was 998mb. The Dec. 26th blizzard was 968!

This is still in Virginia gaining strength but forecasted to be near 994 off Long Island.

Blizzard warnings might come into effect for southern New England.

If you do it now theres a chance you'll get sleet as the first layer making it harder to clear later...but if you wait you'll have a ton of snow to clear.

Let's see.....got to Bridgeport at 8am (left house in Westchester 7:15am), no snow the entire way. At 11am, had near-whiteout conditions, boss sent us home (normally leave at 3pm), very rough thru Bridgeport and on I-95 until Westport, then spent 30 minutes in 2 miles of traffic because of a very nasty jacknifed tractor-trailor between exits 18 and 17, then rest of the way the road looked like it never snowed. Got home at about 12:30pm......in Norwalk (about 11:45)Stamford (about noon) it actually looked like the sun was going to come out but at home it was snowing quite a bit again.....though it looks like sleet and rain are mixing in now down here.

I gotta admit Cambium, these "worst case scenarios" keep on happening.......it's crazy!

Good point about the ice! Its a couple or rental houses & apartments I clear for someone. I already did it once, I'll leave it till it stops.
My blower will eat thru it easy enough, I'm glad its not cold.

Just stay on top of my warning signs from days before, you'll be alright.. Thats why I go nuts when people try to fog up what "could" actually happen. (read my status, lol)

I always feel like I need to put a disclaimer on here. lol Storms have a mind of their own.. Apparently we're back to originals moisture amounts from 3 days ago... and I cant stress enough that a storm can move 50 miles in a day... So take forecasts as a preperation and possibilities rather than right and wrong.. We could get less, we could get more, we could get rain, we could get nothing...

There's currently a 99% probabilty that it is going to get willd for Fairfield after 6pm with whiteout conditions and thundersnow.

Getting reports of whiteout conditions in White Plains so get ready..Its on its way...We should get a break after this moves through but then tonight is the main source.
Yes...I drove through some of those conditions on I-684. Drove down this morning/afternoon from Hartford to Exton, PA for business...thought that I could avoid the big snow by leaving early!

All's well that ends well...I got here safe and sound
