I predict they will be somewhat better, manage to scrape their way into bowl eligibility, get overmatched, and lose their 10th bowl game in a row.

I hope they continue to get worse. There are over 100 other teams that would like to get some network exposure, but Notre Dame keeps hogging it all. I could understand if Notre Dame had won their last 50 games in a row. If that were the case then everybody might want to tune in to see weather or not they can keep the streak alive. But their last championship was in the 1980's. They keep getting blown out any time they make it to a bowl. NBC needs to get over its creepy obsession with Notre Dame and give other teams some coverage. Preferably conference games involving teams that don't suck.

The thing is, ND has a large and exceptionally delusional fan base that keeps watching ND get shellacked on live TV.

Assuming ND doesn't get a bowl bid this year.
A big part of their bowl game losing streak is getting invited to play in bowl games WAY over your head....which they love because it makes them feel good to be playing in things like the Sugar Bowl. (last year)

I'm hoping the team\fans start coming to their senses and playing in "reasonable" bowl games but realistically they'll keep embarassing themselves. Seriously though, doesn't it get old?

I mean, if your Highschool football team always got a bye to the state football championships wouldn't you eventually be a laughingstock for playing where you didn't deserve to be?

They will undoubtedly be better next year.

Claussen will mature into a starting QB, and the rest of the team will age a year, and become more experienced.

Haha, ND just lost to NAVY at HOME!

Sorry, but this has got to be one of the worst football programs in the country. How can anyone be a fan of these losers? It's quite honestly insulting that such a horrendous team gets national TV coverage.

Ya, I can't stand Notre Dame. Glad to see them lose, forever and ever.
