while I do agree that the SEC's the best conference (for a lotta reasons), there is some damn good football that's played elsewhere. Give the Irish and Pac12 some respect, bros.
As a fellow SEC'er, I do give props to ND and the Pac12. IMO, The Tide will continue to roll in the MNC, but ND has had a great season. And if your only loss is to Alabama, that should speak for itself. And Stanford is a very, very tough team.
Saban is NOT the difference maker. Saban is a good coach with great talent. Proof being is that he was easily handled in Big Ten. As stated, the difference is the talent pool that he recruits and gets. If Saban returned to the Big Ten, he would get smoked all over again.
This hurts me to predict the following because i despise the SEC, but Alabama will win the game. The country has not caught up to the SEC's Talent. Again, its not the coaches, so lets get off of Saban's jock!

Saban out-coached Urban who just went undefeated his first year in Big 10.

This argument makes no sense.
You are trying to argue that Saban is only a decent coach because 15 years ago he took over one of the worst teams in that conference.
the year before Saban got to Michigan State, they were 0-11. the next year they were 6-5. In his last year there he was 9-2 with a team that was talent wise, 5th or 6th in the conference.
LSU in 1999 was 3-8. in his first year, they went 8-4 and then won a national title in just 4 years.
Saban with talent has 3 national titles. He is a difference maker and your argument against him had no leg to stand on.
No where in my statement did I say Saban was decent, but rather I said he was good with great talent.
My argument is based on facts (Big Ten record), your argument is based on emotions.

I hope Alabama wins 77-0. I wish there were a way for ND to score negative points.
Notre Dame is the football equivalent of the Indiana Hoosiers in basketball. They haven't accomplished anything in a really long time yet everyone is supposed to respect their "tradition." But Notre Dame is even worse than Indiana because they got good bowl games in the 90s based on "tradition." At least college basketball has a tournament, which prevents sports writers from injecting Indiana into the Final Four on occasion. If college basketball worked like college football, Kansas, UNC, Kentucky and Indiana would be in the Final Four every other year. We already see the bias in the college b-ball system in their seedings.
I mean, how does UNC get no lower than a No. 2 seed every time they make the tournament with their opening round gamesin Greensboro, NC?
