I love both teams although a Wisconsin Badgers fan I'll go with ND by 24 points they are overwhelming . Bama will have their momments by not in the same league.

Notre Dame had a good run but I don't see them beating a strong SEC defense. Eddie Lacy and company will just pound and pound the ball. ND defense will eventually tire and this game will be blown open. My pick is Alabama by 14.

'Bama will be lucky to score 14. ND as well. LOL.

The keys to this game:

* ND run defense vs. Bama rushing game. The Irish held the best three offensive teams to under 3 yards per carry. Bama averages almost 6 yards per carry. I'll say that the Tide get about 4 yards a carry, which is good enough to move the ball on first and second down. But the Tide will need to mix it up some.

* ND's offense vs. Bama's defense. Alabama's defense is not as dominant this year. The averages say that Bama's stout, but elite teams have scored on Alabama. If you take the averages of LSU, GA, and A&M, the best teams are probably going to be able to score 20-25 points per game. ND should be able to score about 17-20 points.

The Tide have been able to score at least 21 points in their games. Against the better defenses like LSU and Georgia they average around 25 points, but in all honesty, I think ND's defense may be even better than those squads. Not much better, but better nevertheless.

I'll pick Bama 21-19. But this game could go either way.

I'll pick Alabama simply because I can't stand that mewling and spitting cadaver, Lou Holtz.

True. I can't remember the last time Lou Holtz made an accurate prediction. The fact that he went winless at South Carolina should tell you how much he knows about coaching or football anymore.

I will say Kelly has the POTENTIAL to be Saban's equal but he must first win some hardware. Right now Saban>Kelly just because Saban has the rings right now. But as an Irish fan I'm of course hoping that begins to change January 7th.

Yeah that's Lou Holtz's NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ring. I'd say he knows just a tad about college football.

Oh and Holtz is 12-0 picking ND games this year.

The Irish dont stand a chance against 'Bama. Yes 'Bama is favored, but the Irish will still get the most media attention over the next 5 weeks and watch Saban use that to fire his team up. The Irish have been overrated all year and they will be exposed on 1-7-2013.

Notre Dame couldnt beat Florida, LSU, UGA, South Carolina or Texas A&M.....

The BCS is a joke.
