They appear to be building something on Firetower next to the CVS at Firetower and Memorial. I didn't drive around there (we were at Micky Dee's) to see if they have a sign up.

The airport sure looks good. It's come a long way. Hopefully they can get flights to other destinations soon.

I love flying out of PGV. No stress at all, although it's kind of aggrevating that TSA goes through EVERYONE'S bag.

Are you talking about the little strip mall that's nearly finished? If so there's already a nail spa and a flooring service store in operation there, plus three empty, unfinished stores.

I rode past there today. It looks like it will be about 3 times that size when finished.

I overheard last night that they were building a Chick-fil-a there. I'm sure we could use another one as the one in front of Target is always packed.

I believe it is another strip mall that is being built beside the new one. I have no idea what is going in there. The brand new one will also house a Subway besides the flooring place and nail salon.

I have also heard about a new Chick-Fil-A, but I heard it was going across the street from the new strip mall. The area could definitely support a new Chick-Fil-A.

I believe they're finally starting on this complex downtown. I can't remember the exact details but it was supposed to have two 6-8 level buildings (some residential, office, and retail) and it is infront of the library.
It was announced a few years ago, but as of now I see that they're clearing the property.

That area has been cleared for a long time. If they are doing any work now it's so city employees can park their cars. It isn't owned by the city but to my knowledge there is a deal worked out for parking. It is signed as "city employee parking" if you look at the entrances. Hard to get in there with anything but an SUV/truck though.

PS - thanks for visiting your local library
