Greenville finally taking The East Carolinian article a little more seriously. From GFR Facebook Page:

Quote:
This morning GFR leadership and City officials sat down and had a great conversation with members of the student publication, The East Carolinian, to address concerns and questions arising from their recent articles. We, at GFR, want to ensure all ECU students and residents that their safety is not being comprised and sought to explain that to the reporters present. We hope any further articles will reflect the information shared in a fair and unbiased format.

In an effort to further educate the community about these matters and others, Chief Griffin will be meeting with the ECU Student Government Association (SGA) this evening. We look forward to answering any questions students may have at that meeting.

Sounds like a CYA response, IMO.

The speed limit for school buses NEEDS to be raised to 60. 45 is too slow and it can cause congestion.

Virginia allows 60.

South carolina allows 55.

Georgia allows 55.

and North carolina is 45. (Can cause congestion on a two lane highway and even accidents).

I’d suggest you watch the videos. Not goin to lie, it doesn’t really seem like the Chief and his friends are telling the truth. I agree with The East Carolinian, hire a 3rd part to investigate what is wrong. Morale and employee treatment seems to be a MAJOR issue.

I'm watching/listening to the interview videos now. Eric Griffin makes good points, but he also makes points that don't really matter to his argument or contradict what he's saying. I'm only about 35 minutes in to the first video so far.
