I cannot understand for the life of me why SunCountry Airlines planes have been flying in and out of Greenville lately, but I’ve seen them three times in the couple of weeks including just now (2:30 PM). Anyone can provide rationale?

Maybe they're doing test flights in and out in preparation for future service??

Or could it be ECU sports team related?? Maybe they're able to get other carriers to fly in and out of PGV??

It's for ECU athletics. The 2:30 flight left PGV and landed in New Orleans, and the football team is playing at Tulane today.

Awesome news. But Greenville seems to always take two steps forward and one step back. There's no good reason why two seperate districts had to be made when the two districts are a half a block across from each other. How will this even be enforced? Are they going to really bust people crossing Reade?

People should be able to take a beer from Pitt Street brewing and walk the 1000 feet to Uptown Brewing without issue.
Agreed, silly, and IMO it should begin earlier in the day 12/1 pm rather than 5pm.

A new record store has opened downtown on 5th street. The guy that owns Davids Bookstore on Arlington I believe is the owner or part owner of this store. If you enjoy physical media still like records, cassettes and CD's this is the place for you, it's awesome.

It brings back the feel of CD Alley and older records stores that use to be around town before everything went online and digital. It's a wonderful store, I hope it can survive.

Royal Farms holds 2 permits to build stores in Greenville, NC. One at Greenville Blvd and 14th St and another at Allen and Stantonsburg. One of the stores is currently under construction.

I was wondering why they haven't started building them yet.

Has anyone heard anything planned for the old Harris Teeter store in 14th and Charles? I hadn't noticed a for lease sign or anything there.

One is currently under construction. I haven't seen which 1 of the 2 sites that they have permits for but I think it's at Allen and Stantonsburg Rds.

As valuable as real estate is getting in the downtown area, it wouldn't surprise me if they tore down the whole shopping center and built something larger there. This is pure speculation on my part and is not supported by any facts or rumors.
